If you are interested in volunteering at Faith Cafe, please download the Volunteer Information Packet. We offer several volunteer opportunities and there is an automated sign-up process to help you match up your schedule with our needs for servers and drivers.
Volunteer Opportunities
Dining Room Service and Drivers
Since the majority of our food is prepared off-site at Metropolitan Ministries, we need someone to pick it up daily. Generally, there are three or four containers of hot food, along with bread, and desserts that need to be picked up. After lunch, the containers need to be returned.
Our method of feeding the hungry derives from service. It is our job to bring food to our guests, refill their drinks, and make them feel welcome. Starting at 10:30, we prepare the dining room for our guests. We open the door at 11:30, and cleanup is generally complete by 1:30. We also offer a Sunday dinner that is served from 5:00 to 6:00. It can be a little hectic when the dining room is crowded, but we always have a lot of fun.
Angel Closet and Shower Services
We also help guests with our Angel Closet, where clothing and hygiene items are made available. Help hand out items, sort donations and restock the shelves.
Several times a week Faith Cafe offers shower services as well. Volunteers help guests access the private shower trailer, ensure guests have linens and monitor guests waiting in line for the service.
Monthly Off-Site Laundry Service
Laundry service is offered monthly off site on the first Saturday of each month. Details are available at Faith Cafe.

If you need any assistance signing up or have other questions about volunteering, please contact us at volunteer@faithcafetampa.org All persons that want to volunteer need to, individually, select a slot on the signup and answer the question that they have read and will comply with the document.

Select slots to volunteer for the dates you are interested.
Fill in some general information for the sign-up, including your acknowledgment that you will abide by the agreement in the Volunteer Information Packet. If you are volunteering at Faith Cafe for service hours, you must bring your sheet to be signed the day you volunteer. No exceptions.
