The South Tampa Ecumenical Ministries (STEM) have joined forces with Metropolitan Ministries in an effort to feed those who may be homeless, in financial straits, or otherwise in need of a hot meal.
STEM
STEM is a collaboration of six local South Tampa Churches. Members from Bayshore Baptist Church, Christ the King Catholic Church, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church, Palma Ceia Methodist Church, and St. John's Episcopal Church have joined together in the development of Faith Café. Metropolitan Ministries has graciously offered to supply meals for our guests.
General Operating Hours
Monday - Saturday
10:30 AM - 1:30 PM EST
Sunday
3:30 PM - 6:30 PM EST
Volunteer Hours
Volunteers are asked to arrive no earlier than 10:30 am. We generally are able to leave by 1:00 pm. Sunday dinner service begins at 3:30 pm and ends at 6:30 pm.
Guest Hours
We open our doors for our guests at 11:30 am. Guests are asked to line up no earlier than 11:00 am. Lunch is served until 12:30 pm, and all guests are requested to leave the property by 1:00. We also offer a Sunday dinner beginning at 5:00 pm and ending at 6:00 pm.

The Ministries has gone from a single room food pantry, to one of America's most effective and innovative caregivers. Serving approximately 100-150 families daily through Outreach and Prevention Services, the Ministries remains committed to breaking the cycle of poverty...today, tomorrow and always.
The Homeless Coalition
The Homeless Coalition of Hillsborough County brings together various businesses, service providers, faith-based organizations, agencies and individuals to maintain current services and expand our community's capacity to help our homeless neighbors. Our role is to establish and maintain a continuum of services through strategic efforts and community-wide planning.
